The Why Behind My Project

My capstone project will teach the younger generation about wildlife and agriculture careers. The average age of farmers today is 57.5 which is up by 4 years since 2000. To help encourage younger kids to go into wildlife and agriculture careers there will be a one-day event at Gilbert Elementary School. On the day of the event, there will be stations to teach kids about wildlife and agriculture careers. Some of the different stations include agriculture careers such as farming and greenhouse. Also, wildlife careers such as game warden and biologist. At each of these stations, a volunteer will talk about the career and its purpose. The goal is to encourage kids to look into agriculture and wildlife careers. The average age of people in these careers continues to increase every year and people are starting to age out of these careers
